Skint! again

Skint! is a financial education package based on a book about managing money, featuring comic strip storylines aimed at helping young people to cope with an increasingly complex financial world. Skint! was initially developed by the Scottish Book Trust with support from the Scottish Government.
The wider Skint! programme, delivered across England by Groundwork and Quaker Social Action, features personal consultations and practical work experience programmes for young people.

The project, developed initially by Scottish Book Trust, is funded in England by the Standard Life Charitable Trust. worked with Groundwork and Scottish Book Trust to create an accessible online version of the publication. 
Skint! will lead to enhanced employment opportunities for young people who may be socially or financially excluded and at an important transition point in their lives.
Groundwork communications manager, Garry Campbell, said:
“Groundwork has worked with young people for over 30 years and in that time has always provided practical support to help them to fulfil their potential.  That’s why Skint! is such a fantastic resource, it’s a very engaging way of encouraging young people to look at simple ways they can get to grips with their finances. have done an amazing job in helping to ensure that the practical advice contained in Skint! is as accessible to as many young people as possible.”
